Hot Rods Lets see some Golden Hot Rods

may not show up, but the chrome/stainless was gold plated (2 sets, one on the car & one set was a back up, just in case). Car made the rounds at auto shows in '55. I'm to understand the car still exists and is owned by a very private collector.

 

As someone who has been diagnosed with a "partial color-vision deficiency," am certainly not an expert, but it does seem pretty clear to me that some folks here can't tell the difference between gold and copper.

 

And all this time I thought I was the only one.

At one point I really considered painting my coupe gold but couldn't find a decent example of an A. This is the best one I've seen. It looks very cl***y.

 

There is one more that is close to yours here on the HAMB I think the member or car is like Goldchainer but it is not that. I will find it in my morning.

@loudbang I do know the Goldchainer. It's a rad coupe.

The only other A race car I took a lot of inspiration from was Maratta's Rake, which in my opinion got loads better when it became blue, modified and renamed Maratta's Missle.
