    57 454,

Can't answer to exactly what they are, buuut...they have a very similar shape to early 60's GM buckets....
Like Impala, just without the trim.
Of all the bucket seats i've seen installed in tri-five Chevy's, i've always felt they "fit" the best, especially with the trim left on them.

Not to sound like a dick here but you are the kind of Upholster that I dislike. You want to do the interior, at your price, on your timeframe, but you don't want to do it the way the owner wants it. He is the one that has to live with it, drive in it, clean it when it gets dirty. All you do it collect your money, and hope you can get some business from your work if some one asks the owner who did the work. I had a guy in Louisville, Ky. do the interior on my 39 Chevy. He did a great interior, had a waiting list to get in to get your car done. Usually it took 6 weeks to get your car back. It was bad enough that at the time he was charging top dollar for the interior, but he also wanted to do the interior HIS WAY. I told him what I wanted and he told me people brought their cars from all over the country dropped their keys off and picked up their vehicles after he called them, and were happy just standing back collecting the awards for best interior at every show they entered. He did not lack modesty. His son told me don't worry, he would make sure Dad did it my way. I went back over to his shop two weeks later, only to find out he had put this God awful rolling armrest from the dash all the way back to the rear package tray. I voiced my protest and the guy went ballistic. Cursing me out. I told him, it's my car, my money, and I want the interior my way, not yours. His son tried to calm his Dad down and told me he would fix it not to worry. I got the interior the way I wanted, finally, but a week later than promised, (he wanted to punish me for making him do it my way), and he told me it was going to cost me $250 more than quoted because of taxes. B.S., he just wanted to screw me over because I wanted it my way, not his.

I think what Loafer was saying was he suggested a different style and the owner agreed on it,myself and many others have gone the same way over the years, fabrics and styling is always changing and if anyone just ''dropped their keys off'' and said do what you want, well in my book.he's a 'MUG'

  7. If some one did my interior there way, and not the way I specified them to do it! They would have to fix it at there expense, or risk getting a mud hole stomped in them!

  8. Anybody ever use rattan or something similar in their car? I had an idea to do some door panels and such with a Hawaii / tiki theme.

  9. I have seen rattan and bamboo used on some, and it looked cool. Kind of different.
