It's still has a long way to go, but I'm trying to keep it low.
Might have to do some modifing as it comes together more.
Working on the body now trying to get new subrails etc. in.
Then I want to suicide the doors and then add 6 1/2" to the overall cab length.
Now that the weather is turning cold it is time to get back to work on it.
Hope the pictures work, I'm still new at doing this.

  8. pretty much as low as you can go without raising the fenders and loosing the frame skirt...It could go a bit lower at the back (around 1/2 an inch) but does catch the fender occasionally now..at the front it also catches the fender on lock now (under braking etc) so to go lower it needs low profile tyres..and you have to see the state of the roads in the UK!!!

Peter (Stork) Vansittart's Improved A sport coupe. Built over 20 years ago. Stork till has this stunning hot rod. Is bright lemon yellow with red still. The hot rod only has around 3 inches clearance at the front of the running boards. One of my all time favorite hot rods.
Runs a 302 windsor and 4 speed. Would run 12's in the quarter. great hot rod! Geoff aka whodaky

  14. Here are a few of my full fendered "A", low but not to low. I wish I had some better ones. The car is torn down now in storage, you'll just have to wait for better pictures of the finished product.

Here is my 29 RPU, progressive chassis, mono front spring, triangulated 4 bar rear, 3" at the front splash pan, 4" at the r-boards, and rides so nice I still cannot believe it. I'm also building a Blown 29 sedan with a simailr chassis that will also be full fendered. later, Rusty.

Best looking low full fender A I ever saw was in an old issue of Street Rodder and belonged to a guy named Bill Kersh (I think). Unfortunatly no pics. If I can find the issue I'll post up the month year. Maybe someone can scan a pic and post it.

I'm going to build this someday. My dream "A".

  20. I remember a car built by Howdy Ledbetter with full fenders. May have been a Deuce. It had an articulated frame that bent in the middle to get the car lower than a cigarette box.

I saw this one in LA last year. As I recall flathead powered with a quick change out back . Very cool car.

the kersh guy ....are you talking about the 28/29 truck......maybe rick kersh...i have article somewhere where he built a model a truck that weight like 1500 pounds.....slammed hard....no aprons.....with a ton of kick up in the chassis....my a coupe will probably end up with fenders....its as low as i can possibly go....would have to run a 145 tire to get it under the fenders ...and it would probably be close....brandon

This is why I love slammed, fendered A's! Nice!

Any pics of the pickup in the sepia colored shot that DOESN'T have the tattooed love boy blocking the view? Cool closed cab....

Yeah, Larry Braga shows 'em how it's done. He's one guy that I wouldn't mind writing a check to to have a car built. If only I had a check book.
