Another 64 Electra for this thread! I've had this car exactly like this since 1988. At times, it was my only driveable car too.

The pictures with this post is of 2 cars I used to cruise Bellflower Blvd. back in the 60's
The first one is my '54 Ford coupe that I cruised in when I went into the Army (stationed at Ft. Ord and was home allot). My wife sold it to the junk man for $12 or $15 bucks! when I was overseas.
The next is the '68 Plymouth Satellite I bought when I returned home from the Army (my first new car). It was lowered, chrome wheels, dual glasspacks exhaust.... that's it! Really liked that car.

    Damn that DeSoto is sick..

Anyways, I always thought that the Bellflower look was slammed hard, striped, mild dechroming and full on Eddie Martinez style interior. Subtle mods and PAINT! Paint was coup de grace of the whole project.
Did the Bellflower look bleed into the Ol'School Low Rider lok that was born in the 70's and so fourth?

No,,the people on the east side of LA were doing the same stuff at the same time too,,,the only difference is that magazines back then didnt venture that far east,....the style was every were in the L.A. area at that time,..the "BellFlower" name just became famous because the magazines coined the name becasue of cool hang outs like,,,Harveys & The Clock that were around those areas.....

dont get me wrong,,i love those styles very deeply...

Not a total custom, but one low mileage rust free ride that didn't cost a lot. Makes for some fun cruising........ Since this is a 1955 Oldsmobile Holiday 4 door, let me wish everyone a happy Holiday!

Here's my recent purchase, a '52 Dodge. I'm leaning toward a low rider look, already have the wheels and tires. I was doing some research and found I also had to have a new look. A trip to Hot Topics and I'm all good.....bro.

Being from a mid-sized Texas panhandle town, I never saw cars like these when I was young. As a kid in the 60's and 70's a lowrider or custom car was RARE to see where I grew up...everyone had musclecars. I love the cars in this thread! Anyone got pic's of 60-66 Chevy pickups in this style to add? I've also got a 58 Delray moredoor...any pic's of those would be appreciated as well.

  22. Tinman, I know I have said it before, but DAMN I dig that car!:D

Tinman, I love your car, but if it were just about 3 inches lower in the front.....

Is that the longest wheelbase 2 door Chrysler produced that year?

James, that Galaxie is BEAUTIFUL! That's the one that punched Muttley right in the DICK!!! :D

Hey Tom...If there were a trench down the middle of every road I drive on, I MIGHT just crank the torsions down that far! ...and it's definitely the longest Chrysler that year... not sure about the Imperials though?
