Just picked up a '53 Henry J and would like to make a gasser out of it. Straight axle with skinnies and slicks out back, injected 327 Chevy, you know, the typical cool stuff. Did a search here but didn't come up with much. Would like to get some ideas on what has been done. So post your pics of your projects. Thanks in advance, Flatheaded

Here is my old one. She lives in Mas-a-chuze-zits now. Henry Js make pretty good gassers, but they are ODD little cars. You will find some intresting engineering from the Henry factory..

The first one is my dad's old Henry J. It's still local but it has a tube chassis under it. The second one was also one of my dad's old cars. The rest are just some of my favorites.

  11. I don't have any pictures of my old Caddy powered Henry J, but I had the front Axle moved forward 12" and that really made a difference in the handling and launch. Back then it was A gas, but then became altered and that took it out of it's league.
