Well, it's a start, I guess! It's a lot further along, this was taken last fall...mostly tools in the shop, just built it last year, then this truck showed up on it's own!

Hey, bones - edit your post, and get rid of the first "http://". then the link should work. Or, repost the link, but make sure there's only one http://

Better yet, here it is in all it's glory! This is 29 bones' shop, folks! (at lest, I HOP it works...)

Lord knows this place is full of expert customizers, and I'm probably the dullest tool in the shed. But my reaction would be that the lines of the car don't lend itself to being a good one to dump customizing money into. If anything perhaps a mild customization with two-tone paint scheme, maybe invert and french the tail lights, flare the wheel wells, nice set of wheels, etc. Anything really radical and you'll end up in that other popular forum on crappy customs, and you'll never be able to sell it for the money you put into it.

Ultimately, anything is possible if you have the bread.

    My 2 sense.

  24. Got spoiled working with good equipment in Detroit area Fab shops in the 80's and 90's. Got out of full-time welding/fabricating for a living in the late 90's. Once you get used to the good stuff it's hard to go back to the old ways. Not that you NEED these tools to build a ride; members do it here all the time. Like I said I was spoiled. Besides I like collecting tools ALMOST as much as I like building things. The Fairlane is mine, and the Dodge belongs to a good friend by the name of Glenn Gibbons.

Great shop and shop gear. I agree; I like having special machines and great tools as much as the cars. And alot of this stuff is available for pennys on the dollar.

First time I've ever seen a car on a rotesserie with the engine still in it! That must be one stout rotisserie! I grew up using a 220 volt stick welder myself...wish I had one now.
