not a Chevy guy but...... I have been running this old blazer around for the last 14 or so years and have personally added 590,000 miles to the 234,000 that was on it when I bought it (it was 15 years old then) I don't think it will last much longer it is one tired *****, still runs fine only 270,000 on the motor. my wife's truck. I guarantee this is the cleanest 2wd 70s vintage Blazer in existance.

We built it up so she would have something top notch to use to haul the baby around in. Every family needs a family truckster. She told me before we even got married that she don't do mini vans.

An earlier incarnation of my 68 with home-brewed blue primer. Not photo chopped.

  6. OGNC - yeah I wish I was getting an early 60's.. thats so nice..

Uptownjoe - I love that photoshop.. What are the wheels off of?? I was thinking of doing black rims so I dont have to polish up anything ever. [IMG]

The '72 sold before I could make an offer, but its ok, because I called my friend Dekon and he is going to hook me up with his '71, drop a new ****** in it, get it running real good, and throw a fresh coat of paint on it, plus lower the **** out of it.. Should be cool for my daily driver/parts/dump hauler... thanks for all the pics.. Anyone else have any tire/rim combos to show me.. no big billet rims though, I cant do that..

Drove my parts chaser, soon to be daily driver to work today. Ol' Yeller has a 351 and a truck 4 speed. Just your basic old farmers truck.

I love that Ranchero - I have a 64 that's in the metalwork stage. How about posting some more pics of that?

That 61 Chev is hot! How about some details on that one? I've had a truck like that in my mind for several years. I'd like to score one of the old aluminum toppers for one and drop the whole truck down. Sort of build up something that looks like an old grandpa fishing truck...Anybody else like the look of those old late 50's early 60's toppers?

well, it's not a GM... but it was dirt cheap. My daily driver:
    '78 dodge d150, 318/727, 300k+ miles.
reworked A-arms, cut caprice police car coils, relocated leaf springs.
DP-90, needs some body work still, but might get some real paint.
Channeling the body sometime this week, i hope... and torque arm w/watts link soon to follow... along with some more ch***is and front suspension plans.
Attempting to make it something that it is not: A great handling vehicle.
17" bullitt wheels, if they can be found cheap enough, would be nice.
Yes, im aware that they are *** ugly trucks... but it was cheap, ive had it for a while, and i have nothing else to play with anymore...

    Thanks Landmule!
It is hot - still burping the air pockets out [IMG]

It has a 30 over 400 with 268 cam, flat-tops, dual plane intake, 650 Holley, Mallory ignition, T 350 trans soon to be replaced with a 700R4, 3.73 posi, converted to 5 lug disk/drum, 235-75 15 whitewalls, exhaust turned out in front of front tires for now.

It's going to get the shop logo eventually, still fighting the brakes and wiring gremlins

During the initial test drive the rear tires let go at half throttle - lots of fun with junkyard tires.

  15. ol '55 ply - thats a nice truck. I dont think I would change the wheels though I like the black on black. I dont think I will make it something its not, but slammed would be nice..

Hillbilly, your wifes blazer is nice. I looked around for about 6 months for a 73/74 full roof 2wd blazer that was not junk.. never did find one... Love the 72 style but they have gotten way to expensive..
