Here's a bunch of old stuff I might make into mine. Haven't picked which one yet, but leaning towards the one in the upper left. Hard to snap a picture of it. Looks like it has scratches, but those are reverse carvings on the inside of it. It was a part of a handmade desk ornament my Granparents had.

The cool weather is outta here! It's been in the mid to upper 80s for the last week so the wife decided it was time for the tiki to shed it's toboggan and get something on it that was a bit more appropriate for the season...

I make them. The Frankenpiston would sell for $40. in raw and the same with the Jesus is the same in rawand pained ones cost more. I don't have a lot of time to spend on them so I only make a few at a time. Let me know if you want one. thanks Scott

The Wolf is on my current. Martian was on my last. I didn't take a pic of the Tiki that was on my daily for 8 years. Built a push button in the top for the Auto and I made an removable cover on the back for the OD switch. I spent many hours on it. Can't belive I never took a pic!

Here's mine on my Jeep. Kinda hard to see in these pics though. It's girly, just black with rhinestones.

Here are my two favorites. The mighty Ratious Finkious and a Coca-Cola shift knob, which is actually a porcelain door knob with a metal base. I was told it was from an old soda fountain shop. Who knows, but its old and cool.

My favorite is a piston used as a shifter knob even though it's been done many times before.

Me too, found an aluminum Stude piston, but it kept falling off...so went to Pep Boys and got one of those little pistons, like Milner had...it did the same thing that Milner's did...fell off, and I did a lot of shifts with no knob, and a big blister on my hand (no, not what you're thinking!!) So went to the Ford dealer and got a stock black knob...

You guys have a lot more imagination than we did back in the days...most of us ran stock knobs or maybe a dice thing that we made in industrial arts shops...(where they sent you in high school after they kicked you out of the other pre-college classes)

you just need to make a threaded piece and tig weld it to the bottom. i would like to see someone fix the piston in place on a rod and use part of the rod for the shift arm .

  26. I posted my Norm Grabowski back in December, since this is still going I took a picture of my other most used shift knob, it's a Rouge Dead Guy Ale beer tap handle.
