Here's another one I made for my wifes '36. I don't like the billet shit knob that comes with Lokar shifters so I made this from a Ford F1 truck knob and a choke knob from a 35 truck. pretty simple to make and it looks a little more traditional.

Well, I'm currently torn. Right now my Dodge is having work done to it and still has a long way to go.
So, here is the original Knob I had for it. Bought it off the web and it was that wonderful purple resin...lol
So I hand painted it and this is what came out....

THEN, I recently came across this Knob that was hand carved by a HAMBer. The reason I bought it, is it resembles my wife to a 'T'. One of those things you just can't pass up when you see it, ya know what I mean.
I dont lie, brag or bullshit, it's a fact, I'd swear he modeled it after her.
So, now I'm not sure which one to use.
I'm leaning toward using the skull as the Knob and the figurine as a dash mount, any suggestions?
    Here is the figurine.....

    Cheers!

Here's mine - was going to use a WWII bayonet. Figured I could find a repop at the Army-Navy store. They had them, but they were like $40 and no way I was gonna spend that on a shift knob. Saw a box of hand grenades for $6 each - now we're cooking! I like this better, anyway.

Mounted on a chrome 3/8 extension from the cheap tool guy.

This shift knob draws a lot of attention (as if the car doesn't all by itself); a lot of comments about pulling the pin, blowing the engine, etc.

This was on my '37 when dad bought it back in the early 1980s with the stock 216. I recently found it in his stuff, and will eventually put it back on the car. I know it isn't anything special, but I like it...

The little black dots are undercoating overspray he somehow got on everything in the garage when he painted the car about 20 years ago. :)

  29. Wow, earlier I commented how awesome your shift knob was, but sorry, it's not nearly as good looking as the girl driving. Woa!

This is in my dad's car, "El Tiki", '29 ford roadster. A buddy of ours in the club made it about 5 or 6 years ago and it just sat on the shelf in the garage just before dad put it on the car about 2 years ago. I painted it pearl white and flush mounted a clock in the top of it.
