  18. Not too many customs shown yet...so...Knock off Lancers, had the real thing on my '51 in '61:D. These are currently mounted on chrome rims, thats why they are chrome all the way to the wide whites. Plan on changing to painted steel wheels later.

I really like just a ton of regular old steel and spoke wheels as well... That's already been covered here though.

  22. Thanks! The wheels measure out at 16x12 with a 5" backspace, and the tires are Hoosier Pro Street radials in 29x15.50-16.

For years, I had 15x10 magnesium Torq-Thrusts with Mickey Thompson Sportsmans, but wanted to go with a radial tire. I shopped radial tires for a long time, and I nearly gave up until I went on Hoosier's website and found their Closeout section. They were selling discontinued sizes, and they listed a 29x15.50-16 for $80 each (!), so I bought 2 pairs. That meant that I had to get a 16" wheel, so after careful measuring, I determined that I could fit a 12" under the truck, so I had Scott at ET make me a pair of Fuelers in 16x12. To afford the new wheels, I sold the magnesium Torq-Thrusts to a fellow HAMBr in Pennsylvania who is building a really cool '57 Chevy gasser. After the beginning of the year, I am going to buy the fronts. I am going with an ET Dragmaster in 15x5. They have the spindle-mount look that I love, but are a bolt-on configuration.

My first choice was Real Rodders Wheels, but they wanted $400 extra per wheel to widen a 10" to a 12", and that was way out of my price range. I love their stuff, and the quality is outstanding, but they sure are spendy. ET was my second choice, but it worked out great. To me, the ET III wheel looks best in 16", and at least 10" wide.

My favorite wheels are the ones wrapped in bias plies and covered by a hub cap.
