Picked up a cool old coke sign for the garage and finally got around to framing some of my Hot Rod LP's.....Re-doing one wall in the garage now. Still a mess at the moment.......

Moved a mobile home onto my property. Tried to build me a quick garage to work on some projects over the winter. I barely managed to put up a tarp before that darn blizzard started. Looks like I am going to have to wait for some better weather to finish it. Worked on it for a day and now my knee is protesting today.

That is one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen!!!!!

  12. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is what I built for the wife to enjoy whilst I hide in my cave.
Since these picture were taken I've added a pond full of fish and waterfalls and all the crap that goes with it. She loves it and spends a lot of time out there.

  16. Wow...great stuff guys!

  17. Lotsa purdy garages and tiled floors. How do they take to overspray, benchgrinders, plasmas, and migs? Still dig them. My Weesner and Rb't Williams prints don't stand a chance with them sparks.
    Keep them garages/shops comin' kids.

The title of the thread said man cave/shop lounge. Some folks are posting photos of their relaxation areas, other are posting their work areas. Some only have work areas, some only have lounge areas and some it's one in the same. Others aren't posting photos at all of anything, just snide comments......maybe cuz they don't have an area to be proud of.

sorry for the mess, we are moving everything into the living room, plus ripping down the nasty ceiling tiles hiding the almost perfect tongue and groove ceiling. My wife and I compromised on me moving my stuff in here so there are some of her things here too. photoset on flickr, and yes thats a Hamms beer can biplane.

I think once all the ceiling tiles are ripped down, and the walls painted, after removing 8 layers of antique wallpaper, it will look a laot better we have to move the stuff in here now, as my stepdaughter, her husband, their four kids, and my stepson are now living here. and we are down to two rooms for ourselves and the garage. I wish the landlord had taken better care of this place,it's too far gone to save, everything in here was art deco at one time, the original owner even wallpapered the seams inside of the cabinets, and my old garage has hand drawn artwork and wallpaper everywhere

  26. You always seem to hit the nail on the nead so to speak,,,,,,,,,I guess I look at it kinda different being single,my shop/mancave is a hair bigger than my house better insultated and a hell of a lot more fun including direct TV with xm stereo........feel bad for guys that dont/cant or are not allowed to have a cool shop to work in,it sure makes me want to spend time out there and seems to make it more fun, however Im not sure if I really get more done except I can find stuff easier than before I finished it

Well said. I find it interesting myself. Seeing how some other people have their places done and enjoy thinking about the different ages/stages in life, that we are in.

Some more finished/polished in appearance and some more hands on/getting busy with many projects.

Some thrive in a multi project area, while others seem more orderly, with one project. Neither being bad, just different. I find myself moving to the neat, one project stage, in my life. Perhaps just age or just a lot of the old "been there, done that" thing going on.

Anyway, it's cool to see ALL your stuff, different as it may be to others. I hope to find a new project worthy of my/our time. Until then I'll just drool over yours and get ideas for doing more to mine later on. Thanks for playing.... ;)

I would like to be in the one project point of my life. This collecting shit for later down the road is just getting frustrating. I have a 19 x 28 foot garage (I think) it's filled with motors and projects as well as one finished car. I have to do a James Bond maneuver ike I am trying to dance around laser's just to get to the other side. Then I forgot my drink and I have to do all over again.

    Frustrating.

LOL! I feel your pain Jeffrey! I worked out of a two car garage my whole life and finally converted the barn to a shop and I'm still tripping over stuff!
