Marsha can drive anything she wants to. She is 1/2 owner in all three, and I wouldn't have them with out her. I have to say though her 1st choice is always the roadster. chuck
My wife's hot rod is a cherry '02 Saturn. Sorry, didn't mean to make you guys jealous. Although she'll be getting my (slightly OT) '68 Thunderbird once I finish the '47.
My wife drives a Ford Escape Hybrid ... it is not a hotrod ... but it is very earth friendly. Thats her thing and it is cool.
My wife drives a mini van like a good respectful woman should..................... Oh she dosnt read the hamb (thank god) YESS DEAR I WILL DO THE DISHES RIGHT NOW.
Screwball ... you are either really brave or crazy ... you are braver and crazier than me ... I will leave it to you to decided.
I was going to stay out of it,but then I wouldn't be able to call out the pics of funny cars, altered's,etc. that are post '64 muscle cars. Maybe all those pics should be pulled to. I think everyone should show a little respect and let these men give their wives some praise. At least they aren't driving rice burners or mini-van's. Besides, the way I was raised is that if a man said anything negative about another man's wife, they would catch five across the mouth. Show a little cl*** and respect people. This one thread ain't going to change or kill off a whole site full of hot rod's and customs.
Since I'm not into posting pictures I'll just say that the no.1 woman in my life has her own '37 2dr. It was origionally built for the wife of an aquaintance who didn't drive it and decided to sell. It's a pinkish red and black and a first glance will tell you it's owned by a female. She's talked about getting it repainted a more"traditional' hot rod color scheme but changes her mind when another woman says "please don't change it, it's beautiful". I think it would look awesome all black with her polished 5 spokes and return the bumpers back to chrome but it's her car. Frank
You are right on Hooligan63. Ninety percent of the men on here do owe their wife praise because they support us and our bad habits. So I agree that one thread is no big deal. If it wasn't for our wife/girlfriends half of the cars/hot rods would be only a figment of our imagination. I look at it this way, if a wife/girlfriend is into the same things that we are into she must be great woman.
Go for a Salmon and Black. Traditional colors used in the 50's,and still a pinkish color. Think it was a color option for '55 Fords
She lets me play with my toys and when she needs to drive she drives anything she wants so. My cars are her cars or the other way around if you would like. Sorry for trying to have a little fun I wont do it again. Yeah right.
This was her birthday present. Who wants to see my wife's full custom nissan pathfinder? Its called an infiniti qx4.
Droool!!!! Yesterday at the GG show in Del mar I showed the wife a nice wagon. She stopped and really looked it over and said..."I'd drive the wheels off that!"
This is my wife's truck. It's been all over the West Coast, 'Vegas, Escondido. It's been on this board many times. She built it and drives the wheels off of it. Right now she is drawing plans to build a regular truck bed for it and remove the milk truck box. The idea is to make it so she can swap them whenever she wants.
LML 150 scooter (Indian Vespa knock-off). It's red, with large black dots on the engine/spare covers, so it looks like a ladybird. She calls it "Ladybrrrrrrrd".
Here is the one I am working on now for the wife. I had to buy something for her after I sold her last hot rod(58 ford vintage drag car).
