All the grandkids have had rides in my stuff, the T and the A. My across the street neighbor and his 2 yr. old daughter were over to bring me something and we ended up in the garage. Needless to say Madison spent the next 5 or 10 mins. driving (?) the A and didn't really want to get out. There's still hope. I love all these pics and stories, they make me smile! Thanks

Took my 3-1/2 year old grandson to a cruise night last night. We had a great time looking over all the cars. Got him to sit still for 30 seconds so I could get this shot in front of the 33.

 

My oldest daughter would not allow her son to ride in the hot rod because it did not have the ability to hold a car seat or even seat belts. While she was busy doing something else, my son in law and I took the kid for his first hot rod ride. I had my camera attached to the dash so I got to film it all

 

Time for seatbelts grandpa.

 

I have 6 grandsons and the one in the p***enger seat may someday become number 7. Shortly after this picture was taken I offered them a ride. Before I could get in the car they were both strapped into the p***enger side seat belt for a ride around the fair grounds in Spokane WA. Guess I better install that 3rd seat belt in the coupe. The one in the p***enger seat is the most promising gear head candidate. He is very interested in what makes things work,watches the car shows on TV and fixes things for his mom at only 8 years old. I think I will get him some tools for Christmas.

 

My grandkids really like riding in my 38 Chevy Coupe. Their mother's rode back there (behind the seats) frequently when they were kids and both of the girls wanted their children to have the same experience. One of the grand kids didn't want to go the first time, she said the car was "too noisy, and stinks". Well a couple of months later she went for a ride after she heard the other kids had such a good time. The youngest grand daughter calls it "the motor car" and it's all she wants to ride in when just her and I go somewhere. They especially like it when I get on it, just like a ride at the fair

A few years ago one of my niece's boys asked her to "Tell Uncle Ken" he wanted "REAL Tools" for Christmas. He got a whole tool box full ...

 

My grandaughter-4 years old going on 14- just wants to drive- needs to know the purpose of every switch and knob on the dash.

Two more Grandsons that like Grandpas car with their Dad.

My one and only Granddaughter (prettiest Granddaughter in the world I might add) tried the front seat and the trunk out for size.

Then there is Paul... He was practicing his cruising position. I learned the night before that you must have handy wipes on board if you are going to treat him to an ice cream treat before taking him for a cruise. I had to smile as I found the sticky fingerprints the next morning. He had such a good time it was worth taking a few minutes to clean up the mess.

I don't have any grandkids that I know about but my 9 year old niece loves to ride.

 

I take them for Ice cream. They just can't eat it in the CAR !!!!
