Let's talk about oil. . . What do you use?

  1. Some of you were talking about NAPA brand oil. That's what the Jaguar/Land Rover dealer uses here. I run a commercial recycling route and this is the only empty oil bottles they ever have. If it's good enough for an overpriced hideous looking Land Rover surely it's good for our old hotrods.

  3. I am one of the transporters here on the Hamb, one of my trucks, 1997 gmc sierra w/350 small block went 432,000 miles on the original motor transporting your toys all over the country. The engine was still not burning alot of oil & I only changed it because I knew something would happen eventually. I only use Castrol Edge synthetic 5w30. when I pulled the valve covers it was perfectly clean & could easily read the casting #'s. I will never use any other oil!

    Valvoline VR1 Racing in everything I own with a flat tappet cam. 1300-1400 PPM Zinc ETC. They have 10-30 and 20-50.
     
  5. ....in my heap I use whatever is on sale at Walmart...if it's wet and slippery...in it goes !!!:eek:
