As a complement to one of Bob's favorite ... Ratier 750cc, I add two pictures of how the little car was towed to Monthléry. Most cool!

Thank you Talgil! Did you find out how far he had to travel?

That looks like a Steyr-Puch, by the front-end trim. An uncle of mine had a Fiat 500K Giardiniera in that same shade of pale blue. The Fiat had a version of the parallel twin engine adapted to lie on its side under the load floor. I'd expect that such drastic measures were not necessary for the SP flat-twin.

I don't remember. Might have been a travel from the south of France to Paris. He surely did not come just around the corner. Considering the inside of his Steyr-Puch / Fiat ? he was prepared for quite some distances. It had a strong feeling of "I travel around the world and sleep in my car". In contrast there was a splendidly restored Bentley 3 litre towing a trailer with vintage motorbikes. All the way from Manchester! And he competed in the races with the Bentley as well.

Flipper, that is as good as it gets.It looks like 2 Brooklands shields mated in tamdem. Then if you look at the left side,it looks a wing nut to able to either fold the whole thing flat or remove it in a hurry.
