Are we sure that the photo was taken in Detroit? I suspect it was taken in Switzerland. The houses and fence in the background look more European to me. Even more importantly, the license plate with a cross on the left and a shield on the right looks like a Swiss plate. Wyss is a not uncommon surname in German-speaking Switzerland. I wonder if he is related to the automotive writer Wallace 'Wally' Wyss. Probably a long shot, though.
BTW, I'm a long-time reader of this thread who finally signed up.

I think that if Saoutchik ever built a body for a trike, it would have been that UGLY!

I've had my own ideas about a reverse-trike that one rides like a motorbike. The concept is very simple the way I had it originally: a T-bucket up the the flywheel, and a traditional chopper thereafter. I've never seen one done exactly like that.

The more I mull it over, though, the more I'm convinced that the thing should lean into curves. And that creates all kinds of challenges, if we are to retain the advantages of being able to use a large car engine and a rear wheel that stays substantially perpendicular to the road.

And then, I'd like it to be manually shifted, with my foot.

Saw this listed as the "road model of the Rail Zeppelin". The tagline 'without motor' is a bit much. Those flat 'propellers' won't get it far.

Keep the miniature 'Royale' hood ornament, skip the "Foney & Flashy", even Figoni & Falaschi wouldn't have built that in their most excessive moments.
