Thanks for the info on chopper wheels. I am still in the planning stage, trying
to get my ducks in a row and seeing what is available. I have a line on an
almost new B&S 25 hp vee twin for a very reasonable price. The same mower
shop can also supply the other bits and pieces for the driveline. By playing with
the pulley size I expect to get about 65 mph out of the contraption at 3600
rpm. My idea is for an inexpensive cyclecar that the average enthusiast could
build. Rather like a scaled up cyclekarts for two.

Seeing the projects the posters on this site a working on is really inspiring,
though I am from the same school a the good Sister in as much as I want
to use salvage as much as possible.

I hope this posting is a multi-quote post, but I've never tried this before. So, if the quotes don't show up I'm sorry.

** Thanks for the guess on the wheel base that I asked the question about.

** In the photos in post #4989 the one on the right has a silver colored car in the background - anyone know what it is?

The wheels - what can be seen of them - suggest Alvis, too. Bolt-on wires of that pattern were an Alvis peculiarity, when most manufacturers of that kind were using Rudge knock-off hubs.

    - and the jack-rabbit was an Alvis thing too, let alone being silver coloured.

http://www.prewarcar.com/ Take a look at Joris's site, if you are not familiar with it. HE has a knack of finding the peculiar, including today's possible cyclecar. Another daily time waster.

Thanks. As you can see though,it's not my knowledge or pictures.I just harvest it and pass it along. It's all about relationships and common interests. The pictures I post ,for the most part, are posted after getting permission to use them here.

To all you cyclecar fanatics who post on this site, Merry Christmas and a Happy 2014!
The knowledge of cyclecar history and construction methods offered on this thread is
mind boggling. I hope to get to know you all better in the future and may offer some
thoughts an three wheelers and old Morgans in general. Keep your chains oiled and your
    belts tight.

  25. An electric one would be very cheap to run over here - no road tax at all.

Bob, that is outrageous! What a great look. I want a 2 seater but that is amazing with the side mounted engine.
