Of course Voisin would return to very light cars after WWII, with the Spanish-built Biscúter:

 

That was quite a step down from what he had done pre war, especially in the '20's. Wars really mess up a lot of nice things but it is interesting to see the changes that follow them.

Must have been quite a sudden impact to snap the front axle .

A 1955 Squirrel:



"Having failed with NAMI-013, Yuri Dolmatovsky not disappointed in the wagon layout. And when management Irbitskogo motorcycle factory think about the release on the capacities of the car, guide us once again became untwist odnoobemnika idea of a compact.

Now he really was quite compact - length less than 3.5 meters, and a curb weight - about half a ton. In this mikrovenchik named "Squirrel" had a full five-seater saloon, and its 700-cc motorcycle engine gave out just 20 horsepower. However, given the low weight, this is quite enough for city driving. Among other things, "Squirrel" was elegant and in good futuristic - which is only the front of the cab for access to the lounge, leans forward. However well-designed with a view to series production design concept remained. Build cars on Irbite changed their minds, and a second chance "Squirrel" was not given."

 

That seems to follow standard SN practice at a much larger scale than we usually see. I wonder if that too had a big single-cylinder engine and, if so, of what capacity.

I wonder, is the Rally at the left of the pic in the last post one of those in the first?

Most interesting is the way the crank-nose-mounted generator (?) sits in a hollow formed by the crossmember and the bottom of the radiator/shell. It's a lovely detail. For a while it was still possible to see that sort of interface between mechanism and envelope in motorcycles; that too has for the most part disappeared.

 

In the first post there 2 decidedly different cars.One has a lot more shiney stuff.The car in the last post has no radiator emblems.It also has a black frame.The others have blue frames.
