    Hello there,
Early Sizair et Naudin voiturettes always delighted me: not so small - but light, not cycle-car - not real automobille, interesting design and good engeneering... wooden chassis, independent front suspension, gearbox in unit with differential (maybe 2 speeds forward + revers?)...

What could be use of lever on attached phto?
    Ciao,
    Zoran

    Bob,
Sometime ago, I "promissed" to show photos of Spanish cyclecars, loving them as really cute and well-engeneered, as this David was...
Some books said that cyclecars were invented before Great War - in Spain! Some poeple liked to make and use gravity racers (down-hill racers, coaster karts) and being bored of pulling them uphill, they install small engines for that. Later, they installed better engiens to drive karts from home to hill and back... Then - they used it everywhere! Other nations saw that and copied them...
    Probably just nice legend?

    Ciao,
    Zoran

    Hello Bob,
And thank you on great information about David cyclecar and many wonderful photos - especially of chassis and suspension. Excellent engeneerd automobile with many variations of elegant carrosseries!

    Hello Chris,
As I know, all pre-War DKW automobiles were two-stroke, two-cylinder, water-cooled engines, with capacity between 500 and 600 cc. Some were front-wheel drive, some rear-wheel drive...
After the War, the most famous were two-stroke 3-cylinder, water-cooled engines, with capacity between 900 and 1000 cc., front-wheel drive only... Last in line was DKW- F-102, that prepared prototype with four-cylinder, four-stroke, front-wheel drive - that quickly become Audi 103...
    --- ---
Happily, skull and bones were symbold of "Wall of Death" - not of SS-troups...

    Ciao,
    Zoran

    Hello Brayton,
As we often jump one level higher than cyclecars are (to magnificent vintage sport automobiles in a class of 1100 cc - 1500 cc), no problem to jump sometime to one lever lower (to velocars)! As Mochet had variants with engines - they could be succesors of the simplest cyclecars.
I am interested in your build, because I have plans to transform my present pedal-powered quadricyle in something similar as velocars... It would be good if you could post more photos and information about building your cute velocar.

    Regards,
    Zoran
