The Excelsior from Coker is kind of like that but not as cool. I like the sidewall of these.

As with all builds tires should be the last thing you by, if you have any funds left. Bob

Tom,there's something about a motor vehicle that isn't terribly removed from a horseless carriage.

    Hello Bow,
Just to remove mudguards/fenders, headlights and top - and, you have good CycleKart?
    --- ---
That cute cycle-car was designed by Danish engineer Jørgen Skafte Rasmussen for German company Slaby-Beringer, because failed attempts to build steam-powered cars at his company DKW (Dampf-Kraft-Wagen, English: steam-driven car). Before shown cycle-car, he designed for them successful electric-powered cycle-cars. Shown cycle-car used his two-stroke gasoline engine known as “Des-Knaben-Wunsch” – "the boy's desire" … Later, he re-designed that small and weak engine in to “Das-Kleine-Wunder– "the little marvel" – but, for motorcycles – not automobiles that came later...
    --- ---
So, a lot of D and K and W in his projects?
For me, shown gasoline auto was more elegant (if it is possible?), but electric one was cute, too?

Love this photo Bob. Any more info on the car or meeting. I have always liked those early french steering wheels esp the five spoke wheels. I wonder if anyone makes reproductions as you rarely see them for sale.

  29. I would love to build a "modern" cycle car. The bueaty of living in Arizona, you can put darn near anything on the road.

But a 4 wheel version would be more of a challenge, as it has to be licensed as a car... A 3 Wheeler is a motorcycle...

I stumbled across a wee car museum in Hamilton New Zealand last week and found this little beauty. A 1920 ABC. I know little about these cars and couldn't find much on the net. Apparently they made aero engines in WW1 - that would explain the wooden propeller like cooling fan and that these early car engines were noisy and unreliable. Can anybody add further info or pics
