    Hello Rolf,
It seems to me that such mechanics must have more courage than drivers?
I think that on the first photo is M.A.S.E. cyclecar from France... For the second, I couldn't be sure...

... and, something quite different, but still crazy: French cyclecar Villard/Colombe, front-wheel-drive three-wheeler!

    Hello,
It could be "Bloody Mary" again, but totally modifed, including new metal chassis?

I am wondering where John was keeping his legs?
Confusion could be with facts that his brother Richard built a few of specials for himslef, especially one with 4 engines, too? Engines were different:

"Richard Bolsters four dirt track Rudge engines in a GN chassis. Shelsley Walsh 1938. The car was very quick, good enough for Richard to win his class at Shelsley. However after experiencing continued chain breakage on start up he dropped the idea and built a Hudson engined special."

Bloody Mary was modified so much that from original used for "racing" over nearby fields in 1929 - nothing was left in period after Second World War. This one in Musum that is still used at hill-climobing - is X-reincarnation of original from school days of Bolster Brothers...

    Ciao,
    Zoran

...another GN special with four motorcycle engines, maybe on the same crankcase and one crankshaft?

...and, finaly - good look ad Bloody Mary with four engines!

P.S.: Rolf, you shouldn't need such extrawaganca and complication - you are in process of construction special with Curtiss V-8 aero-engine!

Bolster's 4-engined special (John's or Richard's construction?), named as "Bloody Mary" again...

Bloody mary is a real hotrod, what a beutiful car,its allways exiting looking at it,
Something just "raw and brute" about it,
Low aswell, not many cars at that time were that low,
Would like to drive something like that,
My father has the book "specials" with bloody mary in it,
Ive been reading it since i was 8 years old, im 52 now,
My dad raced austin sevens in the "750" club,
Ill ask him for some photos of the austin,
Was a lovely alloy bodied car,
