That one looks racier than a typical F Super Sports because it has been sectioned dramatically. Here's a stock one:

It looks like the seat was pushed back, too.

In February? I can't imagine being that cold and wet. Presently rethinking the "full fenders are for pussies" deal... Gary

I doubt if this picture was from 1956. The FMR TG500 was introduced in 1958, 320 units were manufactured between 1958 and 1960.
Here is a 1960 example that I restored last year.

I can only go on what was provided. Honestly I don't know enough about them to tell when they were made.....

No big deal. Not many people know the real facts about these cars, although there are a number of them who think they are experts.
I may not know everything, I learn new facts almost daily.

Yes the TG used a 492cc SACHS engine. I have attached a picture. The three wheel version (KR200 or KR201) used a single cyl. 191cc SACHS engine, both were two stroke with the 191 using a dyna start to reverse the engine rotation to obtain a reverse direction of the vehicle.

    Hello KR,
Your reconstruction of Messerschmitt TG 500 if magnificent! It looks better now than when it was new from factory?
I never saw one in live, but when I was young there were a few 3-wheelers abounded here-and-there in backyards of Belgrade! There were more BMW Isetta micro-cars imported by state for war-invalids, but people didn't like any of bubble-cars and prefer old second-hand western autos or new from Zastava that made Fiats in Serbia under licence (later infamous by export of Yugo to USA)...
What are impressions of driving so light and (relatively) powerful micro-auto, with good road-holding as some people say...

    Regards,
    Zoran

    Hello Zoran,
Thank you for the kind words. I have restored a few KR models and two TG. I do my best to not make the restorations better than the factory made the cars. One of the most difficult tasks is to leave the factory flaws. I have examined a number of untouched cars and taken quite a few photos documenting all the details, I then use this information when restoring the cars.
Paint is another feature that must be correct, I use single stage paint, no clear coat.
Attached is a photo of another TG and my own KR201, I restored both of these.
    Regards

Light and nimble can prevail over big and powerful. Collin Chapman was right.

Amazing to see the 1905 Darracq drifting around the corners to come in fourth.

As far as running these cars... Duncan has a few old cars he drives to and from events. The V-8 J.A.P. powered GN of Rick Scaldwell also gets driven to and from events......which includes driving from England to the continent!
