Magnifying the image on the State Library of Victoria website I could read 'Derby' on the radiator. VSCC (Victorian Sports Car Club?) speed trials June 16, 1947; George Thomas photo. is014921.jpg

This was posted in the special's thread, I sent the photo to a friend who owns a Fraser Nash with Aussie racing heritage & asked if it was his car, this is what he said:

"Yeah that's it as a two seater. It's had 4 bodies in total . Two two seat and 2 single seat."

He's rebuilding it to the early 30's as single seat version.
Incidently it eventually got a 99a flathead, after the twin supercharged Gough was replaced is014680.jpg

I haven't seen any of these before, fun specials!

The first has a Model A engine, by all reports a quick lil car

The red GN looks sharp, interesting with the engine mounted fore-aft, would do away with the Bevel Box (crown wheel/pinion)

I can't make out what the OHC engine is in the last pics?

The Beast of Turin is a magnificent race car, a little big to be considered a cycle-car perhaps ;)

Thanks will check it out, on my pH screen I missed the bonnet sitting beside it & name on the side - a very famous racer with a long heritage & great story of the custodianship of the car. While chatting with my boss I realized that the red #11 I had seen photos as a chassis only, it was built by a young kiwi living in the UK. It's a cool jigger!

What motor is in the red car?

I guess that's where the term "first BLUSH" may have originated. We rush through failing to absorb it ll. have a great day!

Wow, fantastic. That looks like a 2 speed chassis. I'd love to add one of those to my collection. Best of luck.
Are you a member of the Morgan three wheel club?
