According to the article linked by j hansen above, it was his brother Maurice who was known as Zissou, no mention of a wife.

I don't like the look of the woodlites as unique as they are.

I don't think the Pobjoy Morgan 3 wheeler was very successful. He spent a huge amount of time and money on it and put it up for sale almost immediately. I don't think it ever sold.

It never ceases to amaze me how the Uk allows vintage care to race. In the US roll bars, seat belts aer required on everything.

The irony of course is their gun and knife control.

One call, that's all! The US is a litigious society, many want something for nothing, and the ambulance chasers are more than happy to get involved. I noticed all the lack of safety equipment on the UK vintage race cars right away. It's just a different mind set.

"More than 73 percent (73.7) of the homicides for which the FBI received weapons data in 2019 involved the use of firearms. Handguns comprised 62.1 percent of the firearms used in murder and nonnegligent manslaughter incidents in 2019. " Also from Breitbarts FBI report source. Also hardly relevant to racing vintage cars/cyclecars/specials.

Now back to more interesting subjects: I just bought this Judson blower from the estate of a friend. Not sure what I'll do with it but it is my first blower. The manifold fits an 1100cc Spridget. my judson blower.JPG

Judson look cool. I put one on a friend's Beetle in HS and was not impressed with the performance. But I would do it again.

I have no idea. I just starting the learning curve. They did come in a couple of lengths for, I think, up to 2 liter and above 2 liter.

The Pembleton is only sold in the UK. A friend here wanted one and called them but they refused to take his order.

Great. That's the guy I need to contact. I'm missing the idler bracket, both pulleys and the lubricator. I can make everything but the lubricator. Maybe can make that too. I think it just takes pressure from the manifold and pushes oil to the blower housing.

Looks like the same cable operated brakes on both of the cars.

    shorrock

I have a Shorrock blower on my supercharged vintage Triumph sprintbike. The Shorrock works to the same principle as the Judson so should have the same lubricating demands. The Shorrock is lubricated by a T- branch with adjustable valve in the oil return line (dry sump system). You could see the line crossing the center of the blower in the picture - the valve is regulating the oil orifice into the blower. The valve is adjusted correct when you could smell a bit of oil in the exhaust fumes, no blue clouds needed.
