I love little coupés! This looks like coachwork on later Weymann principles, with the easier-to-clean gloss finish.

It is dimensionally like the Morgan but different everywhere else. Same motor and trans, my own torque compensator design, shaft driven swing arm. I really didn't like the Morgan system. Single 10 gal fuel tank instead of the twin tanks, disk brakes all around, adjustable pedals.
More interior room, a glovebox, a front trunk and bigger rear trunk that's lockable. Tilt steering wheel, digital electronics and custom gauges, etc. No plastic or phillips head screws showing. It's all in the Instagram .

Started with a package drawing to get the scale of components and the a 1/4 scale model to develop the body forms.

Aluminum hood was formed with a slip roller to get the arc. Flanges were made by bending up bottom edges. Support structure made by bead rolling a frame structure. Custom made goose-neck hinges for a side opening hood. Sanding out imperfections to make the polished graphic sweep.

Limited production is the goal but funds are insufficient.

I did it on the mill table so I cranked it the same for each spot but I was not terribly accurate with that. I wanted a bit of "hand made look" with it.

Seeing photos like those makes me think of what the flow of life was like in those days. We get so caught up in the fast pace of theses days.
