I'm not sure that 153 would fit!! I know it's only about 23", but I think there's only about 22" in the engine compartment!! I did drag over a 100E engine when I came back along with a header, aluminum head, and bigger carb & intake - should be able to graft that in relatively easily. Another option might be the Jeep Go-Devil 134 - they had 60hp stock! But I really want to shoe horn a V8-60 in. I think it's do-able length wise, but the width is going to require some steering column surgery! Sadly, no pics of this ride, but there are a few pics of the Y in my album...
The green one looks to be made out of a roof top box - nice idea. The Thule ones are very aerodynamic.
Saw this re-imagining of a Velorex on a Polish car enthusiast forum. Good ideas but the body panels look to be ally or glass - part of the charm of the Velorex is the fabric body.
I'm a big fan of Thunderbug. Got me all hooked up on making a V twin out of an out-of-ours radial engine.
Looks like Morgan is remaking the 3 wheeler for their 100 year anniversary. http://www.morgan3wheeler.co.uk/home.html
Another Amilcar Yet another--with an H6C Hisso (bought new by the then president of the Pennsylvania Railroad) in the background.
Well, the story is this- A friend, who passed away about 20 years ago, would go to France every summer on business, and while there would scour the countryside for interesting cars---Hisso's, Bugs, Talbots etc On one trip he brought back an aluminum bodied BNC, on another a type 57 Bugatti chassis-NEW! On occasion, a side trip to England was made--he brought back a Frazer-Nash (which I could have bought for $1500 if I had had the money and the space), on another an Invicta--which I could have had for even less- but it was missing instruments and interior, and I was still missing money and space. This was all back in the 50's. Finally the supply of affordable "good" cars dried up, and he was, on his last trip only able to fine the two cars pictured here--which he considered "the kind of rubbish that peasants drive". I took these pix at his farm, in the early 60's I shoulda, I shoulda, yaddda yadda Herb
Wow, the rods in that amilcar look like they are a foot and a half long. I thought I had a hard time finding rods long enough for my GMC. MH shot some great pics, thank you for posting them BB.
