Really like the set of headers someone made, stock Type 51 would have them go down and run under the belly pan. The can that feeds oil to the blower is in place, and removed in the other engine shot .

I noticed the missing oil can in one pic. We must have had our fair share of Bugatti's in Australia. It looks like a Victorian number plate on the Type 57: UB 862 with the letters VIC down the left side of the plate. The frame above the VIC number plate possibly held a European number plate at one stage?

I thought it looks like real arabic numbers it looks like 1979 which translate in what we call arabic numbers 1969 which is the number under. Plenty of arabic countries to this day use the 2 numbering on their licence plates. Left over from colonialism I guess.

I think it should face in the other direction.

Well, with a calculated drag Cx of 0.22, it's pretty slippery as it is!

I think it should be inverted. (The drawing, not the shoe like car.)

^^^^^^^^^^^^ The odd feature on this Bugatti are the later "Big" drum brakes on the front and the early small ones in the back.

Those must be part of the last group of 3 wheelers made. There were 6, I think, made after the war to use up left over parts. They were all shipped to Australia.

Great car. The guys in the UK, and Europe, have such great vintage car events. The money grubbing lawyers and insurance folks killed any chance of doing that here in the states.

Fred, the Miller/Offy guys have been putting on a great low key event for years....even though the cars allowed are rather limited. They love all spectators. They use the track in Milwaukee when it's not being renovated. This year they were at Indy.
