I just checked and there isn't any tech pieces on rebuilding lever shocks. I think that would make for a very good tech piece for somebody. I've got a couple sets and would like to go thru them and get them up to specs. Any volunteers? I hear tech week is coming up and it would be a great subject.
There really isn't much to them. There is only a spring and piston cup in them. On my chevy anyways. Just take it apart and clean it up, add new fluid, good to go. You can also get new bushings for the linkage.
i did the same thing last week, seems noboby knows how to rebuild them. so i pulled them apart cleaned them up and matched the shaft seal at the local bearing place. hey presto! rebuilt!
