You might be surprised at how many of us here have or had mohawks.

The hair has nothing to do with the problem.

The problem, plain and simple, is that Barker is taking credit for a car he had no hand in. Like others have said, if you can buy a nice car -- great -- but don't give the impression that you built it or had it built to your vision.

Credit the craftsmen who built it.

    Disappointing.

According to my "Down, Brown, in Boy's Town" insider, the windows always worked. Aiello chopped it--right. There's probably a Kristal cap stuck in the regulator or egg whites in the switch.

Haahaha. The second time he said "uh..******" ruled it. Haha.

I just don't get how the guy is wired with the "we did this" comments. Pretty transparent and even if you didn't know the car and who built it his tone and choice of words completely give it away.

Reminds me of the first Kruse "Rod 'n' Custom" auction in Auburn a couple of years back. I had two projects going back home that looked like they might NEVER get done (a Shoebox coupe and a roadster). I hadn't had a driveable rod in about five years and I was goin' nuts. There was a nice looking '40 Chev in the "car corral" it had an SBC - 700r4 - 10 bolt posi already installed, and I broke down and just bought it.

An onlooker asked if I was gonna immediately run it through the auction taking place, and I said I would as soon as I thought up enough stories about how difficult it was for me to build it. Everybody present understood how some guys buy credentials and a claim to talent, but don't know the first thing about actually BUILDING the damn cars. Long story short -- the coupe and the roadster are still in pieces around the house, but the Chevy gets driven regularly.

And it was really a ***** when I put the small block in there along with the 700r4 and the Nova 10-bolt out back.

I just saw a page writeup in some magazine- Maxim or Stuff or something, where he's talking about all his Caddies, and actually does say he got D'Agostino's Cad, and what an honour that is. Doesn't claim to have built it in the writeup.........

  10. wasn't that dude at the Luau with another caddy....I think it was pink and was missing the front bumper....I think he came in with the Rascals

If I were to purchase an already known Rod or Custom, I'd just give credit where credit is due. In this case I'd refer Xzibit to the Rod & Custom article for most of the correct info on "That Gansta Ride!" I'm sure Uncle John is having a field day with this-lol! Again though, John didn't build it either, he just wrote the checks for the end result. The true credit should be given to the craftsman involved with the creation of the vehicle showcase in the feature. Yes,this Travis character is an *** wipe for taking credit for it and it should be brought to that shows producers attention so all that did do the work could be properly credited.

That's why the windows don't roll up anymore...they wired the video cam through the window switches.

  21. This sort of lying goes on all the time in this hobby-owners who have paid for the work, then sayin they did it themselves later...

I won't bore you with the ones I can remember that happened related with my work, but it is more common that one would think.

We have a dude here locally who bought a lime green pastel [DATED] gl*** 34 3 window- streetrod.....now at shows when he wins a trophy he is up on the soapbox blowing that he painted it ,his wife upholstered it and he EVEN CHOPPED IT!:D

I mean -seriously who does he think he is fooling? Come on!
I think most of these guys are pathalogical liars and really do believe what they are saying is true after a number of times ...."told" !!

She gave the windows a STD!! Her *****iness ruined the regulators!!

I love that Cad, it's so friggin sweet. If it was me, i'd have a list of who built it, just so I could brag about who had their hands on it!

You could search for a looooooooong time and not find a bigger doofus than that guy...................BTW nice hairstyle.

  29. it's a well do***ented car. everyone on "our" side of things knows exactly where it came from. so, he can lie about it all day. dosn't matter. just makes him look stupid. everyone that believes him dosn't know who john d'agastino is and never will. the only problem i really see hear is, someone needs to buy the car from him before he destroys it.
