I bought the Style-Lite from ’BlueNotes’. Its 4.5” wide as the smaller Hollywood D52. Visit a hot rodder today and saw several new and old Hollywood D42 ( the 6.5” wide ) and he thought the Yankee 331 was way older than 1969 ( for Streamliners ) even as far back as the late 40’s and he had the original box for it showed a Merc 49. He had this super cool one to, se pic. Idea what car/brand ? My Yankee was really bad and I don’t like a new production so the 4.5” wide Style-Lite will be great as a 6.5” wide gets on the edge to be big on a 32 rear panel.
That clam shell is an Auto Lamp 151. I have a chrome and stainless (that I haven't gone thru yet). Also, you're using an internet sales site as your evidence for aging the 331.....don't know that that's wise - they were on more than just trailers.
Yes youre right, but it might been on the Streamliner 69, but maybe was sold way back then. I guess that can be the case here, and I like the design, and the AL 151 is cool, and that's would be 40's. But I think the one I bought will be really nice on my coupe as the 6.5" wide is a hair to big, my way see it. The Hollywood 6.5" might be a 'slimmer' lock than the Yankee 331.
What do you mean ’rounded one’ ? Now I has 4 to chose from on my coupe ; Yankee 331 not at best condition but work and it might be 50’s or maybe even 40’s (?) Style Lite 50’s style NOS. Cool unit and not as big. Auto Lamp 151 40’s style ’art deco’ nice condition. Hollywood D42, decent conditon, 50’s style.
The smooth Yankee one. That smooth Yankee is not from the '40's/50's. The one clam shell in the pict above were made in the '40's/50's
Another option was the side lamps. My roadster had them in 51. I had a part number for them at one time. They were made by Arrow. The holes in my panel are still visible on the inside.
