Thank you to all of you guys , as usual a wealth of knowledge. I picked up a quart of boiled linseed oil and mixed some pigment in with it and it came out nice. I brushed it out on some treated lumber and it looks nice .I will let it dry a couple of days before I put it outside to see how it weathers.
Rusty I told the kids to sell this stuff but they're not interested. A little box of Sakrete is 7 Bucks.
I could be rich beyond my wildest dreams , parties, loose women, doing burnouts , p***ing old ladies and terrorizing them

Congrats! Sounds like a dream come true! I know this is a hot rod forum, but sure would like to see pics of the model railroads and r/c planes, too. :)

If it's not raining put the board outside, sunlight makes the oil cross link and dry harder.

It rained a little bit this afternoon so I kept it inside. Tomorrow it's supposed to be sunny Rusty thanks for your help. Do you have a barn by any chance ?

Ha ha I had a barn full of old car parts but it collapsed.

If you want a real good job that will last put on the first coat thin (less pigment) so the oil can soak in then give it 2 more coats. They say this paint will last 50 years.

Yeah, I'd like to see them too. I was thinking about putting a model railroad track around the garage at the top part of the wall. I think that would be cool to run a train around. But my garage is 30x50 so it would take a LOT of track.

Good for you. It's always nice to read something positive these days. I didn't know what to expect when I read the ***le of this thread. The last few times I've heard life is funny is from half a dozen or so guys I've worked with over the years when they would get divorced in their mid fifties, a few years shy of retirement, and their new much younger girlfriends were due in about 8 months.

I hope I don't get in trouble for posting these pictures of the airplanes there's a couple of wing kits. I was forced into this. Complete airplane in a box, the controls and a wood jump station 2 of the planes are in good shape ,the HO scale railroad is in boxes. There is a train room in the house where the wall is painted like the Alps. It's painted like the place in the Alps that German plane crashed into a couple of years back. I inherited 8 sets of skis , snowshoes , golf clubs , Bicycles ,generators some kind of sailboard. I'm suffering from some kind of mental illness I have sold absolutely nothing from this house. I sold my old LaSalle and I haven't sold anything since. I think I am becoming a hoarder.

Hoarder? I don't know what you mean. I don't have a problem and can quit any time....that's what I tell people. LOL Love the planes....I learned to fly on the same one as that white high wing plane you have. My dad always had a huge by large train layout in the ba*****t when I was a kid....still has a whole bedroom in their house with one now (he's 80). He also flew model planes my whole life and started me flying when I was about 8. Neither one of us have flown in 15 years or so though.....but I still have all the planes, equipment and every stick of balsa. LOL

Dr. Dave you are a bad influence . You're going to get me in trouble. I love the old balsa wood planes. I would spend hours building them but none of them ever flew. then I discovered cars and none of them ever really flew

......sorry about that. LOL I always enjoyed building more than flying. But with cars, I enjoy building AND driving. :)
