That first one is the Buick Y-Job. That was Harley Earl's baby that he did when he took over GM Styling in 1937.

Yes, and he used it as his daily driver for a few years, too.

 

The Gaylord looks like it might have a T-bird hiding under it. Look at the wheelbase, windshield and it doesn't look like it has a back seat.

 

Gaylord is the perfect name for that car.
