    [IMG] Lightened Model A Flywheel
Trying to figure out how much weight to take off a Model A flywheel for my TROG race car. Car will be run in side by side 1/8 mile beach drag races only. Motor will be around 75-85 HP with a B trans case with late model gears. going to run a 9" clutch, 4.11 rear gears.

Would like to make the flywheel as light as is safe and one that will hold up.

Here is a pretty good diagram for mods to an "A" wheel.

Model A Gomez -- Hotroddmyk ---------- Thanks for the information & drawing. After reading the flywheel site maybe I need to ask my question a little different. What would be the best flywheel weight for max acceleration?
    De-celeration not a facture. I'm hoping 27-35 # is do able.
