Event Coverage Lightweight Ford Galaxy in Goodwood

    Just uploaded by the circuit channel. This continues the recent theme popping up on a number of threads recently, namely US iron winning in Europe. The Galaxies were among Ford's earlier efforts over there and dominated the British saloon car championship when they appeared in 1964. Those cars were FIA homologated featuring bits from NASCAR/IHRA and really killed the Jaguars so bad that Jaguar left motor racing for 12 years... All cars in the race are pre-66, so even that fits the HAMB.

    Those big Fords were also hard to pass. I raced with guys who ran larger cars and it took time to get around them if they were slower.
