+1. After seeing this I'm sure that I'm going to need intensive therapy and meds for some time, but I gotta see more!!

I join in with the bigger is better crowd.
Build it as big as you can afford to build it.
(lot size and local laws not withstanding)
I built a 20 X 40 with a folding par***ion in the middle (well, off center a bit) that I can close and heat/cool the half I'm working in.
I've since added a full length (40ft) lean-to shed on one side, two out buildings and a metal building for the tractors/lawnmowers.
My winter project is cleaning out the workshop so I can work on the coupe.
After nearly 20 years it's really bad.

  4. Forget the house, how big is the garage?! I hope to have something like that one day. Maybe after i win the lottery.

That's really a great looking place! To think that you fell your own lumber makes it all the more special. Well done, very well done.

I bought ours as a kit from Meeks Lumber. 24 x 48. Added the rear door, had the trusses pre-fabbed, and had a pro do the concrete work, other than that my son and I put every nail in it. Have about 24 grand in it so far, not insulated or dry walled yet though, but still cozy.[IMG]

Back (2nd roll up is on backside, cattycorner from the front so the neighborhood isnt subjected to my disease....:))

First stop...Building Department!! See what you and can't build.I lucked into a VERY helpful Plans Inspector who walked me through the entire process. Also found out that plans drawn by a commercial enterprise needed to be stamped by a state licensed engineered, but if I drew my own plans I was good to go.
