Wednesday night as we were setting the engine in I noticed the clutch linkage was on the bottom of the pedals and pulled instead of pushed.

but they are model 40 pedals?

so upon closer inspection @sinticket realized they had cut the pedal arm off, rotated the base down so that the linkage was on the bottom and then welded the arm back on.

This car had a nailhead with a 37 Buick trans so it had a clutch fork not a level like early fords.

so that makes sense they had modified it so.
Kinda smart really plus it seems to be fairly nicely done.

either way, that’s not going to work for my application so I thankfully had a mint set of oem pedels that I am replacing them with.

got the pedals out last night and laid them side by side, they definitely did a lot of work on them!!

Tomorrow I’ll get the clutch linkage connected to make sure that it’s actually gonna work as well as it looks like it’s going to.

Sorry if I missed it but, what are you running for a trans?
