Lil' John was way ahead of his time, his style and the rods he built influenced more than its share of rodders young and old.

I had a picture of his silver Hi-Boy in my locker at school.....

The Tall T Sedan was the one that made me a fan. Suddenly the bar got raised in the world of hot rodding.

A legacy is an amazing thing. It gives you imortallity of a sort in this worldly relm. His will live on as long as there are people who build great cars.

John did a lot of great work. My father and I were extremely lucky to have him work his magic on our deuce. I know the billet thing isn't popular on here, but thought some of you might want to see this...

    Godspeed Lil' John

    Yup boys-

Live your life well, with honor and purpose, cause we are not promised tomorrow. Each day could be our last, so don't waste it! We may not all be bitchin' car builders, but we're usually a hero to someone close. Live up to it!

    Everybody take care...

When I saw Leigh Capps name on my caller ID this morning I knew my fears were real...the loss of my friend and hero Lil' John. I spent time with him at his home last Saturday and the spark was still lit, we even talked about the cackle car he was building with the help of many friends...gave him focus. I will miss him as will many. By owning the last front engine dragster he built the "BankAmericar" I will always be able to honor him at every event we attend. Gods Speed my friend.

His '26 T Tudor and '32 3Window are the cars that impressed me the most. The wheels on his Model 77 Willys were the one item I admired most. He was the Harry A. Miller of our time when it came to machining aluminum. RIP Lil' John.
