Let's not jump the gun and assume the worst. Maybe he's just moving to a new location. The building is for sale in the listing, not the business. Maybe Steve is moving to a larger location. Why is the sky always falling?

Hopefully he has outgrown the space in that building and needs more space.

I have to agree with Rockfish after seeing his post above. Don't always look for the negative in something you see without finding out the real story first.

I don't really know the folks @ Limeworks personally and if one of them sat down with me and the rest of the gang somewhere, I wouldn't know who he was.
But my dealings with them have gotten to be a pleasant thing. I've bought a few things from them. Definitely top price, but so far what I received in exchange has proven to be good stuff worth top price.

I hope that they are just upgrading facilities. It makes me sick and sad to see so many shops closing.

I can understand that little guys like me are often a casualty when there are economic changes.

I hate seeing really excellent ones go down.

I don't believe for one minute that there's anything to worry about as regards the status of Limeworks. Steve told me a few weeks ago of a difficult situation they were having to deal with - but that's private so it's not for me to talk about.

I guess he'll be along in a while to allay any concerns about the continued existence of Limeworks.

  17. I'm going along with the majority here,i would think they have out grown the current facility.

From what I read is the property is for sale, not the business. HRP

I live in Whittier and would love to see his business continue to be in Whittier. Our city has lost lots of businesses as of lately. I have a good friend that works there and would hate to see him and the crew out of work.

It's sad that being concerned for a friend and his job is a bad thing. My buddy was shocked when I told him about it. He had no clue that the shop was up for sale. This was all public information on a public site. Was not trying to "stir the shit pot" I was just concerned. I guess the sky is not falling, but it would suck really bad for my buddy to be out of a job!

  28. Yes,I can see your concern for your pal but Steve said it is the property and he hopes to stay in the area or close by.

So we can all agree that the sky,is not falling.. HRP

  29. Steve, congrats on the growth! Your products and ease to deal with are part of what motivated me to try and bring some of my ideas to fruition. Thanks!
