Does anyone have a picture or explanation of what I'm missing on my horn ****on?

Have a Limeworks '40 wheel with their horn ****on and their Hot Rod column. The column has a red electrical **** connector attached (presumably) to the spring loaded horn switch. The ****on ***embly I have has just the ****on and the large spring for the ****on return. Finally mounted the wheel and column and when I went to put the ****on on I got to looking at it and thought there's no way the ****on will make contact with the switch. Did I misplace or not receive a part? I've kept everything together but in had this setup for while and had it in and out of the car multiple times for mock up. Just hadn't put the horn ****on together before now.

I'm sure I have the missing part(s) somewhere. I just don't know what to look for. [IMG]

What you see is what you get Katuna. The ****on only completes the ground circuit to the horn relay. Some of the Limeworks columns come with a wire in them, but I think Steve does make a "Hot Rod" column with no internal wire. I just reread your post, you have the wire so all you need to do is connect to the lug on the ****on and wire in a horn relay. Scan0024.jpg

Well here is the retro horn kit off the Limeworks website

Most of the older style horns went to ground when you pushed the horn ****on triggering the horn relay. That one I am not figuring out. The brash busing or piece with the wire screwed to it seems to be what the contact piece that goes in the horn kit or wheel contacts.

In the photo above, the piece at the top of photo goes inside the steering wheel. Then the horn ****on gets installed. The piece at the bottom of the photo screws into an opening in the column, down near the floor board, the spring and 'brush' go inside it. The brush rubs on the bronze bushing. From there the wire gets grounded.

The bronze bushing in the center of the photo is already installed inside your column.

I think the instructions for all the is on the Line works website.
    Hope this helps. Phil

When I looked I couldn't find any instructions for the horn kit. Time to hunt a gain as I hate to get foiled on a hunt for info.

The wire from the horn relay connects to the brush, which contacts the insulated copper bushing around the steering shaft. The wire from the bushing p***es into the hollow steering shaft and is connected to the contact in the white plastic gizmo that sticks into the end of the steering shaft. When the ****on is depressed, the metal spider in the ****on grounds the contact in the white piece, tripping the relay and honking the horn.

Bingo! That piece at the top is what I'm missing. It plugs into the connector. Didn't realize it was a bullet conn. It doesn't look familiar so I'm wondering if they forgot to include it. I bought the column with the horn kit installed.

    Thanks guy!

Optional extra? I hate it when something as simple as that ruins your day.

Just a happy update, got ahold of Steve and he said mine was an older design that apparently he wasn't happy with so he's making me a custom piece and sending it out today.

Remember the olden days when you did what it took to make a customer happy and keep him coming back? Steve, you are da man! Just wanted to give him a proper thank you on here.
