    Hey,

Choot! 'looks like a missed a really good time. Good photos, Schooter, and all the shiftless cads & lassies rock, too!

Any info on the Ranalah English wheel, does it have any provenance? Ya see some Frost & Edwards brand English wheels, but not many Ranalah wheels in this country.

The English Bull is killer, as well!

    Thanx,

So tell us, what is the two finger deal and what does it mean?

Hundreds of years ago, English longbowmen would taunt the French by raising their two "string-pulling" fingers to show they still had them. This picture depicts the last scene of 'Le Mans', where Steve McQueen, as Michael Delaney, salutes Ferrari driver Erich Stahler, played by Siegfried Rauch

    or

The 2 fingered salute is a English gesture for F--k you. It originated as the salute of the bowmen against the french but was used by Winston Churchill in the 2nd world war during the height of the bombing of London to tell the Germans FU, we won't quit. It is the opposite of the Victory sign which he used when England won a battle. This is a well known sign in the European military and as most drivers in Le Mans would have understood it, being European, and the 2nd world war was in living memory it would have been fitting for the salute when he beat a German, in such a close race."

  11. The French would cut off the two fingers from the captured English Archers. The two fingers thrust up in a 'fuck you gesture' showed the Frogs that the English still had their fingers.

The open day looks great, I'll try & make it back one day.

The Ranallah looks great - I believe that 2 of them bolt back to back, I've got a "Kendrick" that I shipped out here a few years ago. Bloody handy but a pain to move around

Actually Steve just flicked a very small piece of hamburger meat off of his middle finger and ( you cannot see it) but it has wedged itself right between craigs two front teeth slightly making Craigs head reel back ever so slighty ........sort of a limeworks rendition of the mcgruder film ...

And I figured Steve was gonna stick the finger up the "Office Bitches" ass who one would have thought would have been in the parts department attending customers needs plus filling the cash register.....
I always thought your name was "Ob", not Craigr...

Had a good time. The trip to Limeworks seems to have set the hook in my grandson for hot rods. He didn't miss his GameBoy, even a little bit. Thank you Steve and Craig for the hospitality.

Yep , that's Charlie Edwards, From Lexington KY, Drove out here in 2 days. ( over 1200 miles a day)
Think he said this is the 4th time out to CA.
He did say the roadster will have over 40,000 miles on it by the time he got home. Car has only been done a year and a half.

Limeworks was a GREAT time! Nice seeing old friends and making new ones too. The burgers were yummy and the new blanket was very helpful the rest of the trip!

Thanks guys for the hospitality and Craig for the lead to the Santa Monica cruise at Teddys. We had a really fun time hanging out down there! (and I think the roadster enjoyed being home too :D)
