ran across a lincoln lsc today, heading for a crusher. any body ever use one of these for the suspension. they are already air bagged, not to mention 4 wheel disc. I used to have an 89 lsc. ran like a raped ape, and road pretty nice too. give me you're thoughts

  2. It has an 8.8 with 5 on 4.5" discs that is worth grabbing and they all had 5.0 HO's. The air suspensions could be a pain but most of the problems stemmed from the seals on the air lines going bad which aren't too hard to fix.

i used a 90 lsc for the 5.0 and aod and used the rack with a widened m2 front end, used the rear with the 4 link and modified the lower arms for use with newer bags in my 51 f1.

next i`m putting the injection back on the 5.0

been real reliable combo, driven dailey for the past 5 years.

What type of LSC? Be careful of those airbags, it might come back and bite you in the ass. I drive a '97 Mark VIII, and the bags haven't gone, thank god, but in my '94, it sucked major ass because it ended up being wayyyy too low.

  5. Good point. Is it a fox (mkVII) LSC or a MN12 ( mkVIII) The mkVIII are nice cars, they have the IRS but use Taurus bolt pattern (metric) which is sucky but you can adapt late model Cobra Mustang brakes to them to give you 5 on 4.5" hubs

Had a Mark vii that the air bags leaked down over night. I got a bottle of green slime at Lowes that you use in lawn mower tires. Took the bags off and poured in an ample shot of green slime, rolled it around to coat the inside equally, let them set a while, turning occassionally, then put them back on. Drove it 5 more years and never had a leak again. Took less than an hour. Very dependable car and great ride.

i have driven my 97 mark viii lsc every day for 5 years and never had a problem other than normal matinence that can get expensive on the 4.6 intec dohc the coils are all seperate and the plug wires for the lsc only are expensive... but like my friends have all said... if you cant blow that car up in 5 years thats one hell of a motor... i usualy end up blowing the motor in every car i own...
