I have a couple quick questions. Is four-door mercury and Lincoln side trim the same? And will 51 Mercury taillight lens fit in 51 Lincoln housing? Thank you in advance Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I haven't looked at a 51 Lincoln up close but there seems to be a broad piece of molding under the housing that the Merc/Monarch doesn't have. It could be just decorative, but the opening in the fender looks the same between a Monarch and a 51 Merc. On my car, a Canadian built Monarch, the factory used 51 Lincoln lenses in a tunneled housing. In my humble biased opinion though, the Lincoln lenses look far better on the Merc than vice-verse.
Okay I should elaborate. I have a 99% complete 51 Lincoln I'm missing one taillight lens for the driver side and driver side rear door chrome trim. Will Mercurys fit? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
