i have a 1946 lincoln in the shop. it is throwing sparks out of the starter. the customer wants it changed out. the car was converted to 12 volts 15 years ago so i was thinking of a power master starter for it. is the v8 flathead starter the same as the v12 flathead? i dont do a lot of flathead stuff but i am sure you guys have. thanks for the help.

Don't know if the V8 and V12 use the same stater but I'd run away from an original style Powermaster starter. They look and fit just like an original but when you pull it apart (after it dies) the actual working parts are about have the size of the case. POS IMO. Don't know anything about the Powermaster gear reduction starters.
