Interesting to see Linda and her helper on pit road. I always thought NASCAR has a strict rule for female clothing. ONLY DRESSES OR PANTS, NO SHORTS...EVER.

I am sure Linda Vaughn knows that this board has a few jerks and can just ignore them.
Every once in a while some jerk with his gut hanging over his belt will make some tactless, tasteless, and insulting remarks, but those of us that have been around the hobby know that she has paid her dues and can walk with her head held high. She has the respect and friendship of car nuts all over the world.
Did I mention she has always been drop dead gorgeous.

i met the lovely lady a few years back at the KKOA show they had in hamilton cant remember the year she was very gracious and kind she actually walked around the show with me for a while (i was and still am a nobody) if im right i was at the most 25 then

i hope to meet her again just to say hi and maybe get her autograph this time

as far as her being on here that would be cool but i doubt she would post anything on here

because, even the someof the people on here who have posted about how great of a person she is and how much they admire her for her smarts and business sence and what she has done for motorsports ingeneral have disrespected her by commenting (focusing) on her looks
and makeing several off handed off colored remarks about someone they say they respect

yes im well aware she was/is a model and(was /is paid for her beauty) that she is probably so used to being gawked at that by now she probably doesnt notice it.... maybe

but just because she is used to being looked at , seeing it/reading it in written form by those who call themselfs fans admirrers still has to get to a person

it is a shame that people cant just say wow she is amazing and pretty and smart and friendly and a great person without commenting on her breast size and other things shes been around us all long enough and we all have noticed these things

why can we not state the obvious and just dedicate this thread to someone who has been a friend and great benfit to car culture everywhere etc,etc ,etc and leave it at that

im sure she knows how most guys think about her

and yes i know she is a pistol very fun racy gal to be around but still show some respect

What a great thread!!!!----And to a great lady!!! Linda has been at most major car events since the early 60's, & Hurst was smart enough to use her as his company logo way back then.
Sorry I can't find the pix she autographed for me, but it was like all the previous ones already displayed, this one was at L.A. Autorama 1972.
Linda is only 3 years older than me,----BUT a lot better looking!!!!-------Don

Sweeter than a pound of shugar. I've commented on this one before and we should keep it as classy as she is. Scandle, ok. She allways has a smile for the little guy and runs in circles most of us cant imagine. If you need the "enquirer" then they have a web site too. This wonderful lady has done more for you and me than any other woman in the sport/hobby. Enjoy the pictures,ALOT, and appreciate the better comments and stories more than the other crap.

 

What a great picture of a lost time. The guys in the photo,Ms Vaughn and the Plymouth all show a lot of class that you don't encounter much anymore.Thanks for posting it.

Well, In 1977 Linda was my girl friend. We kept it really low profile, mostly because I was 10 yrs old, and she didn't even know me.
