I really hate it too but I guess I'm a masochist.. I do like doing it myself tho one more thing on the car that I didn't farm out.
Looks good Evel. I know what you mean. put it on...take it off repeat until your fingers bleed. I can't stand it either. I swear I don't know how Plowboy does it all the time with all the body work he does. My 37 coupe is in need of a redo... I spent last night looking the body over with chalk in hand circling all the needed repairs to give it a good surface for some shiny stuff. The more I marked the more i realize i really dont have the heart for it again.... sanding ****s and is boring..
Piero, Live Wire Is LOOKING Mighty Fine ! Please keep us informed with more progress pictures. 41 Dave
Donnie "Imperial Customs" will shoot a nice "Ice Blue" with Silver fades!! yuuuuuuummmmmmmmy...... GNRS will RULE.
Car looks great Piero! It looks like you and Luke are really moving along on the build. I can't wait to see it at the GNRS this year.
you mean your actually working for a change. hahaha, your hands are gonna be so smooth.....when your fingers start to bleed because you sanded off all your prints, then you know your gettin close.
Awww the Zen moment of building a car. In the end, you'll know every square inch of your car. Throw in sum good tunes (in your case; Bullet Boys, Dokken, etc. Hahahah!) and sand away. Good job Evel! Ken
Evel one, The Coupe has come along way since I have seen it last, wish I was their.........I actually enjoy the sanding.........Littleman, give Lucky my love...
.........I actually enjoy the sanding.........Littleman,quote] Why does this not surprise me? I think it has to do with every good craftsman I've ever met actually does enjoy the whole process. That way he has control over the final product. He might not be estatic over each step but doing each one well just makes the final result that much better. Your frame of mind can either work for you or against you. Frank
It seems like every car I work on is like your A. I end up skimming whole panels all the time. You definitely got to get your mind right . Its a workout all right! Once you get the paint on the car, you forget all about the aches and pains, and the hard part is over. Keep sanding. I'm out here doing a 40 Ford right along with ya!
Ya the body is actually really nice but has small issues...this is only the lower half... I still need to mud the chop sand more and then... um.. I don't know..SAND.. then more filler then..lets see...SAND...Primer...SAND..Primer..Sand..Putty...Sand..Primer...Done. GNRS 2008
