I lost athe pivot ball at the block leaving Deming this am. Drove it to phx with the clutch pedal on the floor! 75 plus all the way!

Had to relearn burning out a broken bolt with my O/A torch. What a joy!

HA!!! I knew it! I knew you would break something! It just isn't a trip with Jerry without some sort of termoil!!!!

 

We are both home safe and sound. On the way between Tucson and Phoenix I got a m***ive exhaust leak that I will look at tomorrow when I have some time. Just pulled the car into the garage and shut the door will work on the car tomorrow. I just wanted to send out a public thank you too Jerry the wild man who was copilot on this advanture it was fun having another hot rod with. Also a public thank you too all the Texans that I met and made some new friends that are all over Texas. A big thank you too the Continentals for putting another amazing round up again which from what I heard was the biggest yet. Also thank you to the Yay hoos for letting us park with them both days. Here some shot that I took along the way that I did not post before.

ron i was really diggin on your car at the show, never saw you around it but wanted to shoot the breeze with you, I was hanging out with the Highway Horrors just a couple cars down from you, but i did get a few pics of your car thou for my s**** book

I am glad everyone had fun following the trip. With this new phone I will be dong more post of day trips around AZ that I like todo with friends or myself.

Cool thread to dig back up... I don't think anybody is making the trip this year out of our little group. Kinda makes me a bit sad, I remember the days well following Jerry's or 'Polack's truck, (MIKES wagon too!) for days to get to shows a thousand miles away... Suddenly seems like we are all to broke or too busy (or both) these days. Damn shame.

 

What a neat thread! This is why I love living in AZ, it feels like you can jump in your car and do something like this 95% of the year
