KICK ASS show!!!! Seeing some of the cars in person that I had only seen in mags was cool...
I've never taken soooo many pics at a car show before....(took ALOT of pics of just the intricate paint on some of the roofs of customs)

The metalflake paint jobs with all the lace, lines, fogs and goldleaf was one of the highlights for me...that and seeing the Triple D T Altered :D on the floor with the other great race cars ruled. Oh Baby......

Some of the nicest chopped Mercs I have ever seen, and one of them was in the parking lot!
The burnout by the black, chopped '54 Chevy was sweet....

And Winfield is the man...every time I saw him he was getting pics with or of a hottie....haha

A great weekend that I can't thank a few friends enough for.....

Which one??? haha.....there were a few.....;)

My girlfriend and I went on Friday late afternoon then again Saturday morning for a while . I enjoyed the historic banners but thought the amount of historic cars could of been better. didn't care for the non Hamb friendly cars like Boat tails on Dubs? regular mustangs? all in all it was an enjoyable event but seems the attendance was low compared to other events throughout California. just wonder if Loma Linda Veterans , Cruising for a cure, Great Labor Day cruise, and Primer Nationals hurt the numbers of lbm ? Best of Luck

So it was cool to do Burnouts and Hole shots on the cruise route?? Sounds pretty dangerous to me? Also sounds like the Insurance policy could restrict it next year. I should of brought my RPU down from Santa Maria!

We should let our cars dock together, Live Wire and Velvet Sows Ear. Those two would produce one incredible '60's show rod!!! Hahaha!

Hahaha. You guys are killing me. Had a blast hanging out. Hope the shoot went well. Did the tranny from your hotel pose with truck? Safe travels. Isky rules. And "I had a dragster once". Wish I would have heard the backfire. That guy has customs all figured out.

Evil, I figured I'd throw one of you in there!!! I have a bunch of them from the interview. I was trying to stay out of the light and your way, but really wanted to get some pics of you interviewing my F-I-L.

The stories you hear from these guys when they get together are awesome!!! They're definitely of historical importance when it comes to this community!

It was cool to see an old friend from high school behind the camera as well!!! Hadn't seen Jerry in decades!!!

It was an great show had a blast. Seen a lot of cars I wish I could own. I love the black Lincoln Zephyr in the dome middle row, and the car with the brass trim and interior outside the dome.

I feel like I did when I first read John Lennon's words,

    "You should have been there."

    THANK YOU

NumbNutz: "I personally witnessed that incredible burnout. After the smoke and chaos had cleared I measured it at 1 foot 2 inches give or take a foot."

Yeah, and Bob...your Merc sounded like a sewing machine reving up. What do you have in that thing anyway?! :D

Lazaris: "Oh man... sitting in that merc while he was doing it was a blast! Except we got smoked out inside!"

    Probably an electrical fire...

Definitely one of the best shows I've been to! Trace Edwards and crew did an awesome job with details - he even had real trophies, not the plastic crap! Besides all the great machines on display, one of the main things I liked about this show is the venue where one can go up and view the whole show from on top. Also no one seemed to mind if we put out chairs around the perimeter to sit (we're old) unlike some other indoor shows. The audience was not crazy but flow was steady on Saturday which was the big day. Setting up was a snap and even exiting and loading up was friendly (to my surprise!) dispite only one exit. Again, some of the other indoor shows can sure learn a lesson from this show...

Loved the Lions Drag Strip theme - maybe next year we can do some static action scenes. I especially enjoyed the late Tom Cobb's collection, what an innovator in the 50's! I could spend hours looking at his creations - his blown and injected SBC blew me away as it kept drawing me back time and time again. I've included one of Stu Hilborn's first injectors for a flat head on display - talk about history!!

The cruise in is a nice touch especially on the grass with the lagoon closeby. Love that '32 that showed up on Sunday - looked like you needed a pilot's license to drive it :p.

The "cacklefest" was a hoot! If you were lucky & close enough to get a wiff of the exhaust from the six dragsters, it was cryin' time when the crew switched from alky to nitro after start up.

I wish Trace and crew much success in the future and hope this show continues to grow in the years to come... as I know it will!
