Well...I made it home today @ 7:00 am. I drove non-stop (except for the essentials) and was exhausted.
On the Other Hand....My Buddie Dave (Hemi-Dude) wasn't as fortunate.
His 392 Hemi began acting up on Thurs. Morning.
1st breaking a rocker arm on #2 Cylinder in Mt. Pleasant, Texas...
Took the push-rod out, and ran it on 7 Cylinders. It ran real good and we almost got to Austin, where it dropped another Hole..
We got it restarted and drove it the final 40 miles to the Hotel..on 6 cylinders..
Upon examination @ the hotel, broke tip off a Smith Brothers adjustable pushrod in #6 cylinder...
Had parts flown it overnight from Home and put it back together for the show on Friday...

Everything was fine when we left for home sunday..
When we got to Greenville, Texas....He heard a bang and came coasting to a stop.
No Ignition, no nothing..
Apparantly the timing chain or the Cam broke..
Undaunted....Called AAA and had it towed to New Boston, Texas. (Free tow for 100 miles)
Our buddie "Stretch", hooked up a trailer in Ohio and went down to get him this morning. By the time you guys read this, we are all home!!!
Dave had me and my wife head home since he was in good shape at the Hotel and Stretch was on the way...

 

Man, that's a bummer...Hope it's not to serious.......

That's a bummer but helps make it an adventure to remember. Just part of real hot rodding. Hope he gets it back together without too much trouble and $'s. Thanks for the photos and story.
