Livin the Low Low Life last night

The show on in Georgia last night was about low rider imports!
What's with that?

 

as for vida, no question i would smack that around. when some jerk off is selling at a meet and asks what i am looking for i tell him "rockabilly parts"...

 

YUM YUM ....

 

Usually most of the segments are about only lowriders....and Vida...nothing a few beers couldn't take care of...

 

How could someone NOT want to hit that? Holy Shit!!!

 

Ain't that the truth, back in the day they featured "Two Wheel Tuesday". I would look forward to it all week, then less and less cycle shows, then less and less cycle racing, then no Tuesday cycle anything. I even wrote to Dave Despain as he abandond teh cycle viewers. He responded like a pinhead (Bill O'Reilly term).

Oh, but if you want NASCAR, there's plenty of that.

 

Don't worry man, even if it happens they'll get distracted by the next "hot" thing and move on. We'll be in the garage for life. We've all seen the popularity of what we're into come and go before... it's sure to happen again.

Not all the shows on speed are produced by speed. A lot are produced by other companies that are contracted with speed (like most networks). Most shows are sponsored, so if you have success selling billet parts, you're going to see a lot of billet shows. Hard to make any money on shows about creating art from junk sadly, tv shows just doesn't come out of a monkeys ass. :]

 

Wow No Shit Vida's a freakin Hottie even if she is a little dumb.No body said she had to have a brain to hump!As for her ass wow i like it not to big not too little just right! The show i missed it and only ocassionally watch it.

 

I noticed HAMBER ....MR WIMONE (with the Style Kings hat on backwards) on there a lot.

I thought it was cool to see that people are noticing the Kustoms. They should film some stuff in Northern Cali too.

i didn't catch the episode but have seen others.
this show isn't impressive.
I used to be heavily into lowriders and went to alot of shows and kicked it with alot of clubs.
It seems that the Idea of this show gets lost in editing.
The intro says that the episode will be about a certain topic but then they fail to give you a good look at that topic. They play repeat footage or footage that doesn't coincide with what the show is about. It seems like they went out and filmed a bunch of footage, came back and tried to make episodes by mixing and matching.
It also seems like they don't interveiw well or ask the right questions. It feels like they go to shops or shows and bumrush people for footage. I know that alot of lowriders are very smart, artistic and motivated by the love cars and customizing. The interveiw alot of historic and talented people but....When they ask about cars,clubs,hydros, or paint they fail to get any interesting answers or new insight on what lowriding is or means.
I have pretty good understanding of lowriders and this show doesn't do a good job of showing that.
If they made a show about hotrods and kustoms it would probably be the same.
Just reveiw for those who know and a shitty peek for those who don't.

I don't mind the re-run after re-run of Super Bikes, Pinks 1 &2, or livin' the low life... But for the sake of all things holy, enough NASCAR shit, c'mon!

Jully 2006 on the cover and and about 10 FULL pages starting on page 108........er so Ive heard

 

This show is like a lot of other car shows,it leaves some to be desired but it's still better than most crap on TV.As for Vida I doubt they hired her for her knowledge of cars but I don't see a damn thing wrong with her looks,as my uncle used to say "shes got an ass like a thousand dollar mule!'

 

Yeah i watch the show some cool stuff on their. Man they sure can paint cars.Ive never seen a ratrod on that show hope they keep it that way

this is so true!i must say though i do watch it and enjoy it for the footage it shows but i agree that the editing is killing the show and sometimes makes the people on it look dumb wich is sad because we know that they really arent.its a shame that the people who manage shows like these dont actually live the lifestyle they are trying to portray on the show,but i guess if you think about it if we took that time to do a show we would be missing out on the part we love,the cars and the work itself.

 

VIda ain't too smart, we are all aware of that, but she is probably better looking than most of the dried up car show hags/hoes we usually see. Yes they do go to commercial a lot but because she doesn't do any new/cool/trick, part/tool endorsement during the show it actually has LESS advertising than the other fella's shows. I like it cause lowriders/bombs that are featured are closer to what we do here than all the other Camaro/SBC, Vette, Mustang or 4x4 tv shows. They also feature some guy's who really know how to build some crazy cars.

 

I don't see nothing wrong with that. It's a good decent show even though I am not into lowriders

The theme song alone makes me wanna change the station! The show last night was ok (packed with 49-54 chevs, I love that), but like the other episodes that I have seen, it was disappointing. Speed really needs an in-depth, tech based show on hotrods and customs with interesting builders instead of trying to pass off a mobile audio shop/22" wheel installer as a real custom shop. But, then again, at least I am not watching "Dancing with the Stars"

 

Ok. I just wanted to be sure the rumor was true that Vida was in Playboy. Just downloaded it. Yup, that's her DAMN!!!!! Maybe it is because us SOCAL boys do develop an appreciation for the Latin hotties...but...DAMN!!! Ok, I perv out sometimes...sorry.
The show on the Bombs is one of my favorites BTW.

Very true. The show is okay but if speed made a show about Hot rods and customs It would be a huge hit. The Speed channel used to be a lot better. Oh and Im sick of Barret Jackson being on all the time too Re-Runs from 2 years ago.
