There's not much old iron left in upstate NY worth saving as far as I can tell. What is left is being crushed by the day. I see tractor trailers go by my work everyday with loads of cars fresh off the crusher. Every now and then I catch a glimpse of a chrome bumper or a tail fin on the pile rolling down the road. I'm pretty new to hot rods, but been a motor head all my life. My old man was a motor head and that where I got if from. I finished building a T bucket a year ago this spring and put almost 10,000 miles on it so far. It's not old school, but I did all the work myself using modest tools. I may not be a "traditionalist" but I do everything myself and make parts rather than buy if I can. That's why I joined this board because there's a lot of craftsman that hang out here and there a wheath of knowledge and experiance. Maybe even I may have something to contribute, who knows?
